Check and change your billing address
The billing address error issue mostly arises due to an incorrect address. If the message appears, then possibly there is something wrong in your billing information. You can check your billing address online as well as from your Xbox One and Xbox 360 console. Here is how.
Changing the billing address online (Microsoft Website)
You don’t always need your Xbox access to view and change your billing address. You can also do this by visiting account.microsoft.com/account/ through your computer. Here is how.
1.   Open the above link in a browser.
2.   Click the Sign-in option and enter the account details showing the billing address issue.
3.   Then go to ‘Payment & billing’ section.
4.   And choose ‘Billing info.’
5.   Go to ‘Edit profile.’
6.   Check the entered billing address and correct it.
Changing the billing address from Xbox One console
1.   Start your Xbox One and select ‘Settings’ from the guide menu.
2.   After entering into the Setting screen, choose ‘All Settings.’
3.   Go to ‘Account.’
4.   Open ‘Payment & billing.’
5.   Now, check the entered billing address and correct it.
6.   When you’re done updating the address, select ‘Save info.’
Changing the billing address from the Xbox 360 console
1.   Start your Xbox 360 and sign in to your Gamertag.
2.   Open ‘Settings’ and choose ‘Account.’
3.   Then, go to ‘Manage Payment Options’ and choose a payment option to view its details.
4.   Check the entered billing address and correct it.
5.   After updating the address, select ‘OK.’
Once you correct the billing information, try to make the purchase again, you should not see the error message now.
Check your due balance
If updating the billing address won’t help, check your due balance. Sometimes the billing address error also arises due to due balance on the account. If this is the case, you’ll not be able to make any purchases from your account. Here is how to check and pay the due balance.
1.   Open the Microsoft account sign-in page in a browser.
2.   Then open the Sign-in option and enter the account details showing the billing address issue.
3.   After that, go to ‘Services & Subscriptions.’
4.   Check your due balance.
5.   Choose ‘Pay Now’ to pay for it.
6.   Select or add a payment method.
7.   After setting up payment mode, choose ‘Next’ to pay.
Note: Check your payment mode details carefully. This can also be the reason for the problem.
Check your internet connection
If your billing address is correct and you don’t have any due on your account, maybe the issue is occurring because of unstable or no internet connection. Here is how to check internet connection on the Xbox console.
In Xbox One:
1.   Go to ‘Settings’ from the guide menu.
2.   And choose ‘Network.’
3.   Choose ‘Test network connection’ from the troubleshooting section.
In Xbox 360:
1.   Go to ‘Settings’ from the guide menu.
2.   Open ‘System Settings’ and choose ‘Network Settings.’
3.   Now, select ‘Wired Network’ or your wireless network.
4.   Then choose ‘Test Xbox Live Connection.’
Use another payment mode
There are plenty of payment options you can choose to make purchases on Xbox. Try using another payment mode to make your purchase.
1.   Go to ‘Settings’ from the guide menu.
2.   Choose ‘All Settings.’
3.   Go to ‘Account.’
4.   Open ‘Payment & billing.’
5.   And choose ‘Add a payment option.’
6.   Select a payment mode to add.
7.   Provide the details for your payment option.
Now, try making your purchase with the newly added payment option.
