How to Install Windows Precision Drivers on Laptop?

has been striving to enhance the touchpad experience on laptops running Windows
10. Microsoft optimizes laptops that have “Precision Touchpads.” But, some
manufacturers do not provide this. In such cases, you have to install them
manually.
Check Out the Touchpad
& Download Drivers
If you
want to check out the touchpad & download drivers, then you need to follow
the instructions given below.
- First
     of all, you have to right-click on the Windows Start button & choose
     “Device Manager.”
- You
     should click on the arrow which is located to the left and go to the “Mice
     & other pointing devices” section.
- Look
     when it says “Elan” or “Synaptics” pointing device.
- When
     you have a Lenovo laptop, you need a “Lenovo pointing device” rather than
     the one created by “Elan.”
- When
     it says “Elan pointing device” download it.
- Extract
     the driver & unpack it.
Install Windows Precision
Drivers 
You
need to install Windows precision drivers. Follow the instructions given below.
- Get
     started by right-clicking on the Start button.
- You
     should choose “Device Manager.”
- You
     should select the touchpad driver & right-click on it.
- Navigate
     to the drop-down menu & choose “Update Driver,” then you can see a new
     window will pop-up.
- Thereafter
     select “Browse my computer for driver software.”
- You
     will be required to find the downloaded drivers manually.
- Then
     you have to go to the next window & choose “Let me pick from a list of
     available drivers on my computer.”
- Beneath
     the compatible driver’s list, choose “Have disk.”
- When
     the “Install from disk” screen comes, select the “Browse” option.
- While
     the before section, choose the folder wherever you have downloaded the
     driver software.
- You
     have to select the “Autorun” file.
- Click
     on “Open.”
- When
     another screen comes, choose OK.
- You
     have to wait unless the software comes on the list.
- You
     will receive a notification on your screen that once you install the
     software, your hardware may fail to work. Don’t panic, click on the “Yes”
     option.
- Now,
     you have to wait to complete the installation.
- After
     installation, when the prompt comes to reboot the system, select “Yes.”
Check Whether the Drivers
are Installed Successfully or Not

want to check whether the drivers are installed successfully or not, and then
you need to follow the instructions given below.
- First,
     you have to go to the Start menu on your device.
- Then
     you should navigate to the Settings.
- Choose
     the “Devices” menu.
- Navigate
     to the left & select “Touchpad” options.
- You
     will now see more options for customization and adjustments. See if the
     drivers are correctly installed or not.
Touchpad Doesn’t Work
with Precision Drivers.
If your
touchpad doesn’t work with precision drivers, follow the instructions given
below.
- To
     begin with, go to the Start menu icon & right-click on it.
- Then
     you should choose the “Device Manager.”
- Click
     on the arrow to the left-hand side and then expand the section of “Mice
     and other pointing devices.”
- Go
     to the driver & right-click on it.
- Navigate
     to the drop-down menu & choose “Properties.”
- Select
     the “Driver” button.
- Now,
     choose the “Roll Back Driver” option.
- You
     have to wait to complete the process & click on OK.
- When
     the prompt comes, reboot the system.
