With things slowly and gradually opening up post the lockdown, a number of films are in a queue to be released in the following year. They are going to be a treat for movie buffs who have been eagerly waiting for new stuff. Here is a list of exciting movies to look out for in 2020.

Mulan

This American action drama film produced by Walt Disney Pictures is based on the Chinese folklore The Ballad of Mulan. The film stars Chinese-American actor Liu Yiefi in the lead role and Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Gong Li in supporting roles. It is going to be a fun family film to watch with your kids.

The King’s Man

This upcoming period science-fiction comedy film is directed by Matthew Vaughn. It is going to be the third installment of The Kingsman film series, which is loosely based on the comic series Kingsman.

Wonder Woman 1984

Wonder Woman (2017) was a massive hit and it could not go without a sequel. This American DC superhero film is the ninth installment of DCEU, which people have been waiting eagerly for. The sequel was confirmed shortly after the release of the first part and it is based during the time of the Cold War in 1984.

Death on The Nile

This upcoming mystery thriller film is directed by Keneth Branagh and stars Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Letitia Wright, Annette Bening, Sophie Okonedo, Ali Fazal, Tom Bateman, Dawn French, Emma Mackey among others.  It is based on a book by Agatha Christie with the same name.

Candyman

This fourth installment of the Candyman film series has been written by Jordan Peele and directed by Nia DaCosta. The film stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, and Colman Domingo, along with Tony Todd who returns as an epigynous ghost.

Black Widow

This upcoming superhero marvel film directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures will be the 24th film of Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A struggle between Florence Pugh and Natasha Romanoff’s character is seen in the film trailer which also stars Scarlett Johansson and David Harbour.

No Time To Die

This forthcoming Bond film also known as Bond 25 is ready for its release after much wait and speculation. The original bond director Danny Boyle walked out of the film and it is now directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga. The wrapping up of the film also took time due to the injury of the protagonist Daniel Craig.

Free Guy

This upcoming Ryan Reynolds starrer is a science fiction action comedy film, directed by Shawn Levy. The film is about a video game character in a video game world called Free City who is a non-player character.

West Side Story

This forthcoming American romantic musical drama film, directed by Steven Spielberg is based on the 1957 broadway musical of the same name which is loosely based on William Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet.

Top Gun Maverick

This American action drama film is about a top Navy aviator, Pete Maverick Mitchell played by Tom Cruise who has been pushing himself to new scales.
